Tom Cowan (better known as Tomethy Furse) (born on March 11, 1987) is the bass player for Southend based group The Horrors. He attended Rugby School with fellow band member Faris Rotter and Exeter Socialite, Dolly Alderton.

  • For the band's fanzine he added Tomethy Furse's Guide to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
  • It was in fact Tom and Rhys (organ) who provided the vocals for 'Excellent Choice' in the EP version. But in Strange House, Tomethy provided the vocals.
  • He is in the side-project 'Spider And The Flies' with fellow Horrors member Rhys 'Spider' Webb. Their sound is instrumental and is inspired by the work of Delia Derbyshire, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, as well as Joe Meek-produced instrumentals.
