- Reserve Command - formed 1 February 1939, and absorbed into Flying Training Command 27 May 1940.[1] Reformed 1 May 1946, the first Air Officer Commanding was Air Vice Marshal Sir Alan Lees. RAF Reserve Command was primarily concerned with the maintenance and training of reserve organisations.[2] Renamed Home Command 1 August 1950.
