Jon Fratelli (born John Lawler on 4 March 1979) is the vocalist and lead guitarist in Scottish band The Fratellis. He currently resides in the town of Cumbernauld north-east of Glasgow with his wife, where he went to school at St. Maurices High School.

When Jon was 13 years old he asked his parents for a guitar which they refused to buy him, so he bought it himself.[citation needed] Jon sold the content of his bedroom raising over £300 which he used to buy a '60s reissue Fender Telecaster.[citation needed]

In their debut album Costello Music, John mainly used a Fender Telecaster, with the exception of a few songs in which he used a Gibson Les Paul and an Es-335.

In the soon to be released album, he used a Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, Gibson Firebird, Rickenbacker 12 string, Gibson Les Paul and an Es-335 for his electrics. For his acoustics he used a Gibson SJ-200, a Gibson Hummingbird, and a Gibson J-45.

John has used a Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty for promotional performances in support of the band's second album.
