Mark "Flex" Alexander Knox (born April 15, 1970) is an American actor and comedian. He is known as the star of the UPN sitcom One on One and for portraying Michael Jackson in the 2004 VH1 biographical telefilm Man In The Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story.

Early life and education

Alexander was born in New York City, New York, the son of Alethia Knox and Robert Whitehead.[1] He was once a back up dancer for the hip-hop girl group Salt-N-Pepa.

Movie and TV career

In 1998, the actor starred in a science fiction movie titled Ice. More recently, he played the character of rapper Three G's in Snakes on a Plane. He appeared as a barber in the show Moesha. Flex also appeared as Jarrod Smith in the 1997 movie The Sixth Man.He also made a small apperance on the movie The Hills Have Eyes 2.Alexander appears as Deborah Cox's male counterpart in her video for "Who Do you Love?"

He also was a cast member on the comedy series Uptown Comedy Club along with comedian Tracey Morgan (Saturday Night Live), Talent (WKRS Kiss Morning Show) and Corlwin "The Atomic Dogg" Moore (former writer for Saturday Night Live).

He starred in the short-lived sitcom "Where I Live" with Doug E. Doug and Shaun Baker. He also appeared on the early UPN sitcom "Homeboys in Outerspace." He also played on the hit show One on One as a single father who tries to be a role model for his daughter while still trying to be on the dating scene.

Marriage

Alexander is married to R&B singer Shanice, with whom he has two children. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
