Bob Florence

Bob Florence (20 May 1932 in Los Angeles15 May 2008 was an American jazz arranger and pianist. He began taking piano lessons at five and initially intended to be a concert pianist. However, on taking classes with Bob McDonald he changed direction toward jazz. By the mid-1950s he formed his own big band. In 2000 he won a Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.

Bob Florence died at about 1:00pm on May 15, 2008.
