Bob Florence
Bob Florence (20 May 1932 in Los Angeles — 15 May 2008 was an American jazz arranger and pianist. He began taking piano lessons at five and initially intended to be a concert pianist. However, on taking classes with Bob McDonald he changed direction toward jazz. By the mid-1950s he formed his own big band. In 2000 he won a Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.
Bob Florence died at about 1:00pm on May 15, 2008.
