I nominate this picture for the following reasons

1) Contemporary Eastern European artists, like Eastern European culture in general, is often marginalized in most English speaking countries.
2) The sculpture is part of an addition to a crypt in the Wawel Cathedral complex in Krakow that is part of a World Heritage Site.
3) The sculptor, Czeslaw Dzwigaj has an impressive list of works, with public installations in Germany, Argentina, as well as in Chicago outside of his native Poland.
4)Most importantly, the work and picture are aesthetically pleasing
